Why did the hiking trip cost us $154. We live in the city and Joffre Lakes is three hours away so we needed a way to get to Joffre Lakes. We do not own a car at the moment, so we decided to go to Joffre Lake by buying tickets for a touring company that does trips to Joffre Lake. The the tickets cost us $62 dollars per person. So the total cost of the ticket was $134. We also spent $20 to buy food to have during the hike. The hike was about 10km and it took us 5 hours to complete. The level of hike was intermediate. You will go through mud, rocks, stairs and higher elevation to reach the lakes. Here are the pictures of our time at Joffre Lakes:
